Need of plate thru ORIF
My mother broke 2 wrist bones and the doctor insists that plate implant is needed for her as bones are shattered. Is plate replacement necessary due to her age. And is it recommended if only plaster could also work albeit over a longer period. Also are there issues with plate in the long term in terms of pain and the body accepting it?
