Methimazole
I have a low thyroid but my doctor prescribed me methimazole 5 mg. Also my mother have low thyroid but she takes different medication.

Hello.... No for low thyroid problem doctor present levothyroxin..  In high  thyroid problem above medicine is prescribed... Attach your thyroid profile,  or consult  general physician once again..  Don't  take medicine until you confirm..... Talk to your doctor.. It's easy,  elevated TSH is present in low thyroid problems..
