If the puppy remains active and continues to have a healthy appetite then after examination a veterinarian may start with a simple antibiotic dosed based on the bodyweight of the puppy along with deworming. If the puppy becomes less active , loses appetite or is not responding to antibiotics then there is a possibility that the puppy is in the initial stages of viral gastroenteritis like parvovirus which may need to be addressed with supportive therapy.
Next Steps
visit a vet for examination and to start antibiotics and deworming .
