My grandma's right legs feet flesh is growing and have some infection to municipal doctor said to cut the leg till the knee

There are multiple causes and diagnosis like a gangrene,infective skin disease etc.
Also in certain cases to prevent the spread of infection an amputation is necessary.
As your doctor has suggested if her leg is cut below knee a prosthetic leg can be worn and with physiotherapy your mother can resume her daily activities.

Please give detailed history with other medical conditions if she has diabetes, blood pressure ? If its infected how deep has the infection spread.
