Jaw surgery
Query for a maxillofacial surgeon/doctor.... I have a underbite problem which I got checked with few doctors...according to most of them( most are from private hospitals) it can't be cured by braces and may need surgery....now when I was  researching few doubts comes into my mind like if I done my surgery and they put implants but in the future if I have to take MRI doesn't it affect?? And let's say after a year or two after surgery I decided I need to remove those implants due to some medical treatment/emergency,does not it going to bring back my jaw back to the position which was it earlier before surgery....thanks

As a eNT and maxillofacial surgeon I can tell u that ur concern is relatable, even the person with stent in heart and pacemaker also can’t go for MRI life long but we had to judge he patient severity of disease , MRI is not a single diagnostic modalities we can go for CT scan , PET scan etc. Usually maxillary implant are hard to remove because for that u had to go for surgery again , so usually we do it remove them. Rest u don’t have clearly provided very good detail about what deformity r u suffering from and what ur surgeon is planning to do, only after that guidance on implants and wiring can be done
