Is there something wrong with my nipple?
I have what look like scabs or harden tissue at the center of my nipples. They do hurt a bit if i remove them because the sensitive tissue underneath. They don't itch regularly. I had an itch like 3 times last year. So I'm trying to figure out is it normal. I think this started after i was pregnant for 4 months and miscarried. I also have more noticeable bumps around my areola.

It is not normal.
The dead skin is collecting ..should peel naturally.. but not happening... Don't remove the skin..this may cause damage.
Next Steps
Daily Apply and gently massage with Warm virgin olive oil or almond oil..keep moist with oil. skin gets nourishment and dead skin collection stops. within couple of days can notice the change.
