Irregular menstrual bleed

Asked for Female, 25 Years

Dear Sir/ Madam, from last 5 years my menstrual bleeding has been reduced that is earlier I was wearing 2 sanitary pads in first two days then 1 pad the next 3 days and was having less menstrual cramps. but now-a-days Im wearing 1 pad in first 2days and next 3 days there is only 8 to 10 drops bleeding. And today is my fourth day of menstruation and I have noticed that there was 8-10 drops of chocolate color bleeding. I even checked Hb. It's 10.9% Is it any hematological problem or hormonal problem.

scanty periods has many possible causes...it may occur in women who have anemia i.e low haemoglobin levels,diabetes or thyroid problems. It is also common in women with high levels of a protein called prolactin in their blood...it can be the side effects of certain drugs like oral contraceptives,antipsychotics,antiepileptics...it may be due to poly cystic ovarian disease as well... So I would suggest you to consult nearest gynecologists for detailed clinical examination and evaluation they will do the needful.
