Intestine obstruction
I had a surgery 8 years ago for laprotomy for intestinal obstruction, however, now I had adhesion due to which there was again an intestinal obstruction and again a surgery was performed wherein following were observed: A. Gross omental adhesion and small bowel adhesion to old scar tissue B. Multiple small bowel bands C. Multiple interbowel adhesion & kinking D. Proximally dialated small bowel & post obstructive bowel was collapsed However, even after the surgery, sometimes I have a minute stomach pain and my surgeon also told me that I can again have adhesion in future. Please help me out with what should I do so that no adhesions take place and any precautions to be taken. Further can I do stretching exercises when 2 months have passed post above mentioned operation.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Adhesions are inevitable complication of surgeries. Nothing can be done about it apart from breaking adhesions in consecutive surgery. Consult a general surgeon in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
