My mother of age 64+ having infection in her lungs. As per the report of chest CT Scan she is suffering from Interstitial Lungs Disease. The infection is in upper lobe of both the lungs. The percentage of infection is around 10 percent in both lungs respectively of its total dimension. Due to this infection she suffers with irritating cough and cold problems. After having this infection she generally affected with weather changes. Local chest specialist told me that this disease is uncurable.

All forms of interstitial lung disease cause thickening of the interstitium. The thickening can be due to inflammation, scaring or extra fluid. Some form of interstitial lung disease are short lived, others are chronic and irreversible. The most common symptom is shortness of breath, other include cough-usually dry and unproductive and weight loss.
