Hypersensitivity Pneumoni
My mother is suffering from this disease and she is already under treatment for the past 4 months now. Her spo2 fell down to 70s, had chest tightness and sticky cough. She is on steroids which now being tapered down to 18mg. She is also on 18 hrs oxygen 1-2L. Though after 4 months her spo2 still is about 88-89 and falls when she walks or do normal daily tasks. Will she be fine?

If you have proven diagnosis of Hypersensitivity pneumonia and it is acute to subacute and once risk factor causing it ( is it pigeons or any other exposure -cause is removed to prevent recuurance ) and effect the present problem is reversed by steroids and oxygenation is improving . It should improve
