High enzymes
Recently we did a detailed blood analysis of my Son and found that the liver enzymes were too high (Alkaline Phosphatase: 371 U/I). Is this a matter of worry or will the enzymes come down gradually?

Isolated alkaline phosphate elevation in a growing boy is usually due to elevated bone isomer in growing boys. Please check other enzymes whether they are normal. You can go for GGT testing to confirm that it is not due to liver isomer. If GGT is elevated then go for ultrasound. Don't think surgeon will help anyway, if anxious go to pediatrician.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Do you have any symptoms? It would come down by itself unless you have some disorder. So get yourself checked out by a general surgeon in person for further evaluation and management once. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
