Hi
it may be due to gastritis or it can be due to muscle pull...drink more water,have food at regular intervals,avoid spicy and oily items,avoid coffee and tea,have dinner 2 hrs before sleep, take analgesics if you feel pain s not due to gastritis...these may reduce your symptoms....if not you may require evaluation to rule out cardiac problems for that you have to consult physician

the most likely causes for your condition include acidity, pleuritis .
if you are a smoker, then this could be one reason.
suggest you to take in a good healthy diet with high fibre, lots of water, green and fruits, less oil ,less spicy.
quit smoking gradually,
if it still doesn't resolve, then get yourself checkd out.
