When i get fever or cold in my young age doctor used to give pencillin injection just not more than 3rs. But now a days not frequently using in hospitals...? Why any reason...
Doctors can give test inj. Then go for pencillin
I come acrossed mostly used antibiotic is amox. Can any one explan me

Hey, now a days amoxyclav is given which is combination of amoxicillin which belongs to penicillin group along with clavulonic acid which increases potency of amoxicillin , penicillin is basic drug ,had chances of allergy ,over period of time newer drugs with new varied pharmacokinetics are manufactured by pharmaceutical companies .
