Gallstones
Hi , I'm kumar... I've a 1.3cm sized stone in my gallbladder. ... what will be the treatment for this? How long it will take to recover? If my gallbladder is removed, will I face any problems? And is there any chance to remove the stones only? Not the bladder. ... thanks in advance

Hi kumar Gall bladder stone formation is mostly due to non functioning of gall bladder. So mainstay of the treatment for gall bladder stones is cholecystectomy  (REMOVAL OF GALL BLADDAR) There are two methods of surgery open and laparoscopic. laparoscopic surgery has advantage od early recovery.hospital stay will be around 2 days for laparoscopic surgery. Medical treatment for dissolution of the stones is not much sucessful
