Folliculitis on thigh and swollen bumps
Swollen bumps are groin area. Doctor has diagnosed "folliculitis with impending abscess" and prescribed 5 days of augmentin 625mg thrice a day. Wounds and swellings healed for 20% with this. Doctor suggested for FNAC while conti uing medicine for 1 week more. Patient is reluctant for this test as it is also done for detecting cancer. Is it something to worry about.

If your doctor has already diagnosed it a case of folliculitis with abscess, then you should not worry regarding cancer and also there is no need for FNAC. You may require incision and drainage if it has frank pus in it.
