Drink plenty of water, eat soft foods like cooked cereal, mashed potatoes, soft fruits, yogurt and soft-cooked eggs...give adequate rest to your body..Avoid spicy foods or acidic foods. Gargle with warm salt water. gargling several times a day can help relieve throat pain....you will require antibiotics to clear up infection..Consult physician.

Hello there. I can understand your concern. You seem to have contracted a viral infection also known as a seasonal flu. You have to drink lots of water, tab. paracetamol 650mg thrice a day after food for 2 days. Warm salt water gargles thrice a day, take steam inhalations thrice a day. Avoid oily and spicy foods and i would encourage you to have only khichdi for 2 days if possible. If not have semi solid soft foods. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain.
