Dry cough after Covishield vaccination

Asked for Female, 59 Years

My father got inoculated on 30-04-2021 with Covishield. Whilst his fever got down with paracetamol but he's coughing, body is aching and feeling fatigue. We are making him eat vegetables, fruits, and water. But for his dry cough, Can we give him cough syrup that would have dextromethorphan
