Doctor extends medication
Sir/madam my mother having migraine since 2 yrs but taking medicine from last 7 months at first our doctor says take these medicine for 3 months then we will stop ,after 3 months he extended period to next 3 months more,again we approached him he again extended mothers medication to next 3 months
So my question is should we continue with him or need to see someone else

Hello. You have not mentioned which medications the doctor has prescribed to you. There are some medicines which can not be stopped at once in allopathy. If there are no symptoms like headache and there is no known psychological cause, you can shift to Ayurveda for time being, and gradually stop both the medications. You can approach a nearby Ayurveda doctor who can teach you Pratimarsha Nasya and use Anutaila for the same. Over a period of time you shall be comfortable. Also make sure there are no digestive disturbances including constipation and there should be no stress factor. Of this can be achieved, medicines can be reduced and stopped in a tapering method.
