Divaa 500 n pregnancy.
I had migraine few months ago. I was prescribed divaa 500 per day. I took that for 2 days but after that I realise that I am urinating more. So thinking that it could be side effect of pill, I stopped taking after 2 days only.
Now I come to know that I am 11 week pregnant. And days when I took that pill were in 1st week of my pregnancy. According to sonography, days were 2 or 3 day of pregnancy.
I am in worry, that I would not cause any problem with baby, as tablet content is divalproex sodium which is equivalent to valproic acid of 500 mg.
Please help me, to decide what to do.

Even though valproate and divaloprex can cause neural tube defect of fetus, there must be some level of drugs reached in blood to cause side effects.. since you took it only twice, you should not have any problem...

what you should do is tell your gynecologist to tell details about your baby in the womb, it called fetal anomaly scan..

till then you should take regularly folic acid and b12 tablets..
