Discoloured Mucas 9 month old baby

My 9 month old has had a bit of a ruttle on his chest for quite a while and its been esculating to the point he is chocking and bringing mucas up but the mucas has been discoloured purple/red looking, ive taken him to my his g.p but they are saying im over anxiouse mother without listening and checking him over im just wondering what can i do?
