Darkening of skin in various areas

Asked for Female, 29 Years

I was diagnosed with acanthosis nigricans (not sure though) was told to test insulin level n thyroid levels.. Found to be normal... But my neck s full of dark patches from my childhood (I even undergone chemical peeling but of no use) ... Now past 6 months my knuckles r becoming so dark... Wat would be the reason?
