It has been 6 days since a guitar fell on my wrist and my wrist has swollen badly. Even after taking several medicines including pain killers and steroids the pain hasn't decreased and theres still some swelling. I have done xray and mri. Nothing significant showed up. Should I get a cast for at least 2 weeks? The pain is immense

Since X Ray does not reveal fracture, there is no need of cast However since there is swelling, I would advice a slab

Hello Dear, If the X Ray and MRI dont show any fracture, there is no need of a cast. However you must not perform any movements of your wrist as far as possible. For that you can just keep a sling on your shoulder with a tight crape bandage on your wrist.
