Hello,
sometimes if there is lack of space for the tooth to erupt,it can change its orientation leading to infection and pain/swelling of the gums.You need to visit an Oral surgeon,get an X-ray done to confirm this.If it is not in a favourable position to erupt then it is better to get it removed.
