In how many days should the post extraction pain start reducing. It is going to be 72 hours for me tomorrow at 12:30PM and i still have to take painkillers. The pain is not very bad but it is there while eating, talking, opening mouth etc. I have a stitch as well. Please guide.

As your tooth is removed surgically it would take atleast one week. Try to maintain good oral hygiene by brushing twice a day, use mouthwash, warm saline water rinses two to three times a day. Take painkiller. Apply ice pack outside of mouth on effected area.

It may take a week to ten days but gradually it reduces. Do warm saline gargles for better healing and keep that area clean.
