Why is dopamine from masturbation

:Why is dopamine from masturbation considered different from dopamine from sugar or Instagram? Psychiatrists often say that frequent dopamine spikes from things like sugar, Instagram scrolling, or other highly stimulating activities can be harmful or reinforce addictive behavior. So I’m confused: why is dopamine released during masturbation considered “not bad” or normal? Is the dopamine itself different, or is the issue actually about the pattern of reward, frequency, and compulsive behavior rather than dopamine simply increasing? Could a psychiatrist please explain this in simple terms?

Hello sir! I understand your concern. Excess anything is bad. So the dopamine release that you get from Sugar or gaming or masturbation , all these good when you aquired it in limited quantity. No Reaserch says excess dopamine from excess masturbation is good . And also excess dopamine is not directly bad. The thrill you seek after, and time and money you waste for the thrill will contribute to addiction. So excess Masturbation is also bad
Next Steps
