These white lesions are due to a condition called as keratosis which occurs due to chronic trauma which is recurrent in nature. It is due to recurrent injury to the gum flap over the wisdom tooth. Please do not jump to the diagnosis like cancer right away because even to establish that diagnosis it requires a proper physical examination and a detailed clinical history as well as a biopsy without which even a doctor cannot confirm the diagnosis of cancer. Absence of pain does not indicate absence of Pathology, so it would be equally prudent if you get it treated Before any symptoms appear in that area. Extraction of the wisdom tooth is the permanent solution for this problem. It is not a fungal infection either and you should not be using kenacort gel unless there is a specific indication suggested by a dentist because this is not a condition where steroids like triamcinolone should be used.
