When to redo rt-pcr?
My father was tested covid +ve 16 days back. Last weekend in blood report we got to know inflammation is high. CRP was 61.85 and D-Dimer 1.10. He is taking steroids and blood thinner after consulting doctor. He is having no symptoms.
Should we go for rt-pcr now? Or wait for few more days?

Instead of RTPCR .give more focus on crp and d dimer..as it is raised...your doctor must have started steroids and anticoagulant.. So better to go again for crp and d dimer after 72 hrs

No need for repeat rtpcr. But yes you should always check for lipid profile, ldh value as well d-dimer and crp value if patient ia on blood thinner and other medications.
