Weight loss and diarrhea
My mother age 48, is facing watery stools issue from 10 days going 3 times daily, no pain or weakness but lost about 4.2kg . The last checked weight is 15 days back which is 95 and now it's 91.8 . She has osteoarthritis and also done root canal recently, kindly advise

48 saal ki age me 10 din se loose motion ke saath 4 kg weight loss casual cheez nahi hai â ise chronic diarrhoea maan kar investigate karna chahiye. Recent root canal ke antibiotics se C. difficile ya post-antibiotic diarrhoea ho sakta hai; iske alawa thyroid, diabetes, celiac disease aur colitis dekhne padte hain. Osteoarthritis ki painkillers bhi gut kharab karti hain.

Stool routine + culture, C. difficile toxin, CBC, TSH, HbA1c, electrolytes aur celiac serology karwaiye; painkillers abhi band kar dijiye aur ORS chalu rakhiye. Stool me blood, bukhar, ya pet me lagatar dard ho to admit karke jaanch zaruri hai.
