Watery eyes and mucous like erection

My father has been suffering due to itchy eyes which starts watering frequently. There is this mucous like erection at the corner of the eyes which is persistent. He also complaints of pricking in the eyes.

This seems to suggest allergic conjunctivitis. However I am not comfortable initiating steroid therapy without an online video consultation.

May be allergic conjunctivitis or MGD based on your description. Better post a picture would have been better.
