Hello Doctor, I am confused and need clarification. I consulted a DVL specialist regarding my sexual exposure and was tested for
HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and Syphilis. All results were negative.
My first sexual contact was on 7 September 2024 and the second was in January 2025 with different partners. I had the tests on 3 September 2026 and had no sexual contact afterward.
I asked my doctor about Herpes and HPV. She said I don't have HPV because I never had genital warts and said Herpes is curable. However, online sources say Herpes is treatable but not currently curable.
Could you please clarify: Is Herpes curable? Can absence of warts confirm no HPV? How reliable are my negative test results considering the long time since exposure? Do I need further STI tests if I have no symptoms?
