Recently I was diagnosed with extreme vit D deficiency and my level was 7. My dr has prescribed 60,000 iu tablet and 60,000 iu cholecalciferol sachet both once a week together for 8 weeks. How long will it take to raise levels to normal? Also with such high dose if vit D do I need to supplement with any other vitamin or mineral? To overcome deficiency is a daily or weekly dose better?
