According to book on Vitamin D, correct timing for sunlight exposure is 11 am to 2 pm. Different sources have different timing mentioned according to location and availability of sunlight. Proper way of exposure is your skin should come in direct contact of sunlight, not through clothes or reflections. Vitamin D is made in body when skin comes in direct contact of sunlight. Many people in today's world have vitamin D deficiency and its not possible to get vitamin D in diet.

Its good to get Vit D.. Exposure to sunlight in the morning timings from sunrise to 11 o'clock is the best. It does not have any side effect.
