My baby is 3.5  months old, and he reacts strangely when he sees dark-colored t-shirts — almost like he’s scared. Especially if there’s a cartoon or something written on the shirt, it feels like he’s frightened by it. But when someone wears a light plain t-shirt, he doesn’t seem to have any problem at all. Why does this happen? Should I be concerned about this phenomenon. Thankyou Mayank Tripathi.

At 3.5 months, babies are still developing their vision and ability to recognize patterns and faces. Dark-colored clothes, especially with bold cartoons or prints, may appear unfamiliar or confusing to them. Your baby may get momentarily startled or scared because he hasn’t yet learned to process complex visuals. Light plain clothes seem more “neutral” and easier for babies to accept. This is completely normal at this age and nothing to worry about.
