Hello,
Apart from the vaccinations provided under the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP), could you please advise which additional vaccines I should consider for my daughter? She is currently 1 month and 20 days old.

At her upcoming 6-week visit, these can be planned:
• Pentavalent (UIP) or Hexavalent (private)
• OPV (UIP)
• PCV
• Rotavirus
These optional vaccines are safe, well-tested, and help protect against severe illnesses. They are strongly recommended by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP).

Up to the age of 6 months there is no additional vaccine.
After 6 Months of age - Flu vaccine, Typhoid vaccine , Hepatitis A vaccine, Meningococcal vaccine. These are additional vaccines.

After complete examination and assessment of the child your paediatrician will advise you about the vaccines that are required for her as per her age and health status.
