Dear Patient, Thank you for your query regarding the use of a USG (ultrasound) whole abdomen to detect stomach problems. A USG whole abdomen is a valuable diagnostic tool that can help identify various issues within the abdominal cavity, including: 1. **Organ Abnormalities**: It can detect abnormalities in organs such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, and spleen. 2. **Infections and Inflammation**: It can identify signs of infections or inflammation, such as abscesses or fluid collections. 3. **Structural Issues**: It can reveal structural problems like cysts, tumors, or blockages in the digestive tract. However, a USG may not always detect all types of infections or functional issues within the stomach itself. For a comprehensive evaluation, additional tests or imaging studies might be necessary depending on your symptoms and medical history. I strongly recommend scheduling a consultation to discuss your symptoms in detail and to determine the most appropriate diagnostic approach. Please feel free to reach out to me on WhatsApp at eight zero zero nine eight two one three three two to discuss further or to book an appointment. Take care,
