Hello Doctors. Greetings to all. I am 38 yrs old , unmarried. I am going to take my first shot of vaccine.. My question is if I am menstruating ..is it safe to take on that day...What I mean the vaccine won't effect menstrual cycle??? Regards Ishani

COVID vaccine can safely be taken during menstruation.Getting your periods doesn't also impact the vaccine's efficacy. Vaccines work by injecting a live (modified) or inactive strain of the pathogen to prompt an immune response, and in no way is the reaction impacted by your menstruation cycle.
