It can be probably due to myofascial inflammation. Try ice packs over the area followed by a warm shower. Sonal extension exercises in prone lying ( lying on your tummy ) is also helpful. If symptoms persists, consult with a physiotherapist to undergo myofascial release, manual therapy and localised Electrotherapy for managing you condition rather than having painkillers. Take care of your posture if your profession involves long periods of sitting.
