Unknowingly given sleeping pills

My female friend was unknowingly given some sleeping pills by her uncle at night for nearly six month.after that she doesn't feel anything whole night and in the morning she doesn't know actually what happened. this thing happened 4yrs back. is there any medical test from which we can know what actually happened. and any proof to suspect the uncle
