They are different Fetal 2 D echo is a detailed study of the baby s heart, its chambers and valves and blood flow channels. It’s if usually done at 24 weeks Doppler study is a study of blood flow in the uterine , umbilical vessels, blood flow to baby’s brain and other vital organs. It can be done anytime in the pregnancy. And it is good to keep an eye on it because it can deteriorate in pre eclampsia and iugr (for example) and can affect the delivery plan and medications.
