Ask her to ice the ankle for about 15 mins thrice a day.Also she needs to elevate her ankle with pillows while sleeping or sitting.You can tie a crepe bandage or an ankle binder around the ankle to support it as of now.Avoid putting weight on the sprained ankle until you consult a physiotherapist to know more about the severity and grade of the sprain ....take care
