recent sickness like typhoid can cause irregular periods and low platelet count can also cause bleeding so verify the complete blood count report and if it is continuous or it is been in long duration then you have to check thyroid and ultrasound scan

If this is the first time she has got menses within 15 days it maybe related to her illness or stress or other factors. You can wait and watch for subsequent cycles. If this occurs again you will need to visit gynaecologist to do blood tests and scan to look for the cause and receive treatment accordingly.
