Tuberculosis medication in progress
Hi doctor, gud day .. my father has been diagnosed with tuberculosis ( detected (trace) ) and prescribed medications as R cinex(450) , Computol( 450),Pyazin(1500mg), Benedon(40) as he was admitted for pleural effusion in lungs last week . But still he is saying loss
Of appetite and tired . Can you please help like how long it takes time to improve .(appetite and tiredness) . I am very sad to see him worried all times

You should take medicines from Government set up under NTEP. It's very common to have some problems days after starting of anti-tb drugs. And normally this will disappear within few weeks. Though routine tests must be done for follow up to rule out drug induced adverse effects, within few weeks of starting medications.
