Hi doctor, gud day .. my father has been diagnosed with tuberculosis ( detected (trace) ) and prescribed medications as R cinex(450) , Computol( 450),Pyazin(1500mg), Benedon(40) as he was admitted for pleural effusion in lungs last week . But still he is saying loss Of appetite and tired . Can you please help like how long it takes time to improve .(appetite and tiredness) . I am very sad to see him worried all times

You should take medicines from Government set up under NTEP. It's very common to have some problems days after starting of anti-tb drugs. And normally this will disappear within few weeks. Though routine tests must be done for follow up to rule out drug induced adverse effects, within few weeks of starting medications.

It will take 1to 2 months for Appetite recovery.pl give him good protein diet. It is better to take Tb medicines from govt centres.They are high quality drugs.pl consult pulmonologist for further evaluation and treatment.
