My mother's tsh level has come out as high as 17.691.. what does that mean? She is taking neo- mercazole 20mg for hyperthyroid from a month now. Plz help

She needs to review her hyperthyroidism status, need of neomercazole! So review needed for her diagnosis. After taking complete history she may need to stop neomercazole for a definite timeline and review her thyroid status clinically as well as laboratory testing.

Looks like she has hyperthyroidism for which she takes. Most common cause is Grave's thyrotoxicosis. There are two ways to treat with medications. One is titration regime, another block and replace. The Endocrinologist will decide which regime is the best for a given patient.
