Treatment for tooth pain.

I have cavity in the second molar of mandible.Right now I cnt go for rct as I am out of town.Is there anyway I can get relief from tooth pain till I go for root canal treatment.

Hi there. For now you need to take an over the counter pain killer. But I would advise you not to ignore the tooth for long and get the treatment done as soon as possible. At the same time, also get your complete dental checkup done so that such emergencies don't occur next time.

yes you can take analgesic (pain killer) but only for short period of time. Because if there is cavity as you are saying in tooth so then there is a high chance of spreading infection deeper in the tooth. So immediately go to dentist for proper treatment.
