I am 6 week pregnant, 6 month before missed one, My Rubella igg is more than 350 and Rubella igm is 10 (non reactive). Cytomegalo igg 113, cytomegalo igm 5(non reactive). herpes igg 0.50(non reactive) herpes igm is 1.4 (Reactive), i have genital herpes rt now. My question is does it affect to fetus? Any chance for congenital disability? My practo consultant is not replying about this. Any thing serious? Why she is not commenting on this. She said igg is ok just need treatment for herpis, not replying about anything to worry or not.

Genital herpes has high risk of transmission to fetus if mother is infected in third trimester and so Caesarian section is advised to protect the baby. The risk of transmission in the first trimester is minimum but the risk of damage to fetus is maximum in first trimester. For further enquiry, please consult.
