You might be having impacted tooth. Pain is not going to be there at the time of extraction as it is going to be numb coz of anaesthesia and after the procedure it is more of discomfort rather than pain as you would be in pain killers for few days.

Hi you have to bd take care for your teeth because some times last tooth may cause the harm to the next to that tooth and also its cause difficulty in mouth opening so don't avoid the extraction and other followup

My suggestion is dont wait till the pain comes,,,,because sometimes it will too late as it may cause damage(caries) to adjacent teeth as well. Regarding your pain issue, nothing to worry much, good local anesthetic techniques, medications and proper instructions if you follow, the discomfort level will be minimal. But ya if it is a surgical extraction you should be prepared for mild discomfort and swelling postoperatively. But definitely extraction will be a permanent solution.

don't avoid removal of advised by the dentist.  with right medications there won't be so much pain as you are imagining.  in fact if you avoid removal the pain might increase &  also your discomfort would be more.

Extraction should not be avoided just because you don't have symptoms at present..... waiting for the symptoms to appear is not advisable..... the procedure is done under local anaesthesia and is absolutely painless...... if you follow the post operative instructions given by your dentist, the discomfort after the procedure will be minimal and healing will be rapid..... May be because of incorrect position . don't worry extraction will not be too painful .

The earlier you will get the removal don either faster it shall heal.. You may send the xray to check if the tooth can be saved with RCT.
