Get an X-ray done. If crowns are cemented without doing Root canal and you are feeling pain, then most likely you will have to go for Root canal for those teeth, but if you are feeling sensitivity then wait for few days it will subside gradually.

If the cap was placed devoid of doing root canal procedure you might be experiencing post op sensitivity which will gradually subside if not then evaluation of xray and a RCT is inevitable. Could u please specify the location of pain if it's in the crown tooth or in the permanent retainer because normally no one places a permanent retainer in crowned tooth unless otherwise specified
Next Steps
visit a dentist get evaluated do not self medicate

Hi mam recently you have done tooth cap. Have you done root canal before the cap? If not then that could cause tooth ache. If rct is done kindly get it evaluated again. Even food accumulation under the cap can cause ache. Please visit your dentist and evaluated
