Tinnitus since 2 months

I got bad cold about 2 months ago. PTA test and all were fine, but ear blockage and Tinnitus was there in left ear. Doc prescribed nasal spray and meds, not ear blockage has significantly reduced but tinnitus has not. It gets masked easily in traffic, or in shower or if I play ocean breeze and all, but comes back when everything is silent, and gets louder when there's no background noise. I did a blood test and have iron, b12 and vit d deficiency, not by a huge margin. Also I did attend a party with a friend of mine around the time tinnitus started but it was not that loud. Now doctor gave me meds for deficiences  for a month. Will I fully recover, am I following the right path?

In most of the cases tinnitus will subside spontaneously or with medications, but in some cases it may be persistent because of the damage caused by viral toxin in middle ear. But it is not a life threatening issue, just maintain general health and regular ENT consultation for PTA every 6months. Recently intra tympanic injection are given to reverse the nerve damage
Next Steps
PTA every 6 months adequate sleep and nutrition
Health Tips
Next time don't wait till the cold is severe

Avoidance is best treatment for tinnitus. Do regular check up for audiometry.
