If you already have Hypothyroidism and are taking Thyronorm (levothyroxine), that medicine is the main and most effective treatment to control
thyroid hormone levels.
Thyropace is generally a nutritional supplement containing vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that may support thyroid health, but it does not replace or significantly enhance the effect of levothyroxine. For most patients with hypothyroidism, taking such supplements does not provide major additional benefit unless there is a specific deficiency (like selenium, zinc, or
vitamin deficiency).
Next Steps
• Continue taking Thyronorm 50 mcg regularly on an empty stomach in the morning as prescribed.
• Check
TSH levels every 3–6 months to ensure the dose is correct.
• If you still feel symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, hair fall, or cold intolerance, your doctor may adjust the Thyronorm dose rather than adding supplements.
• If you choose to take Thyropace, keep at least a 3–4 hour gap after Thyronorm to avoid interference with absorption.
Health Tips
• Take
thyroid medicine with water only and avoid food for 30 minutes afterward.
• Avoid taking
calcium, iron supplements, or multivitamins at the same time as they reduce absorption.
• Maintain a balanced diet with adequate iodine, selenium, and protein.
• Regular exercise and weight control help improve overall thyroid health.
