Goitre or swelling of the thyroid will not disappear with just taking tablets. If it’s an uniform swelling and it is not pressing on your voice pipe then it’s not serious. But do make a consultation once every 3-6 months. Your doctor may have done or will advise you for an ultrasound guided FNAC. That report is needed to advise better on the swelling. Important to take your medications as per advise and frequently check your blood levels of T3, FT4 and TSH
Next Steps
Take medications regularly. Consult for FNAC if not done already.

Swelling of thyroid might be due to compensatory increase in size, because of reduced thyroid harmone. ..but once increased in size, will not reduce... U can see to it that it will not increase further..Ultrasound should be taken once to be on the safer side If u have any problem because of it, or it is increasing dramatically..u need to get FNAC done ...
